About Technology:
The diagram presents a new concept that uses the natural evaporation process, accelerated in a solar thermal cell. The process is assisted by solar thermal energy (no PV panels required), but external heating arrangements using efficient heat pump technology are used to ensure optimized design with guaranteed output round the clock throughout the year.

 During this process, air is the medium through which clean water is extracted from impure or wastewater. The impurities are left behind at the bottom of the solar thermal cell in the form of slurry, which can be further dried in a specialized dryer.

To use this system for wastewater treatment only, atmospheric air is forced into the solar thermal cell, which becomes humidified. This air can then be passed through a wet scrubber before being released into the atmosphere.

Alternatively, the humidified air can be passed through a water extractor unit to extract high-quality pure water. This pure water can then be further processed into high-quality drinking water. The dry, clean air from the extractor unit and dryer can also be passed through the wet scrubber before being released into the atmosphere.
